Our sheep.. Billy & Milly
Our sheep came to the sanctuary as orphans. They had lost their mum suddenly we took to bottle feeding them until they were fit and strong, now they do a valuable job at the sanctuary by keeping our grass short and helping to eradicate the threat of worms. Billy and Milly have now gone to live in a wonderful retirement home with 26 acres and a new flock of friends for company.
Meet Rosie and Bonnie our Kune Kunes......
Rosie and Bonnie are sisters, they have been saved from the ever so popular Hog Roast. Quite an unsavoury thought when you think of how intelligent these beautiful little piggies are. Rosie and Bonnie have a lovely paddock that they can run and play in. They have been taught to sit, jump up, give their paw and of course lie down and enjoy a lovely belly rub! It took them minutes to learn their tricks, I guess they are more intelligent than us!
Our Cats Tom, Charlie and Maisie
These three rogues patrol the yard to keep vermin down. They have lived here from kittens and are very affectionate for farm cats! They are always waiting for the truck to appear so they can jump in to see what we have brought them! They follow us everywhere, poo picking the fields and mucking out, wanting a stroke and a fuss. They always pretend they are starving when any visitors come in the hope that they will produce some yummy treats!
