Lady
Our Lady was rescued from a dealer in wales. We were told she was 10 years old but in fact she is in her late teens. Lady came to us extremily malnourished and nervous, resembling a hat rack on legs. Her hind legs were very swollen and she had scars on her back and nose.
Lady had very obviously been beaten, had ill fitting tack and worked to death. We attempted to take a photo of her, she was absolutely terrified of the camera. Maybe she had been moved on so many times? It took us a good many months to gain her trust, the slightest stress would send her digestive system into overload.
We now have a beautiful sweet mare who gives so much love, her soft whickers in the morning when she sees us melt our hearts. She is the boss of the herd and keeps everyone in line!

Bloss and Harry
Bloss has been used as a baby factory and was in a terribly poor state when found. She was very thin, had lice, lacerations in her cheeks and an eye ulcer. She was not used to having her hooves picked out.We also discovered an abnormal slightly twisted hind leg. At the time we didn't know she was in foal, but this 18 year old miniature shetland mare produced a beautiful colt foal one spring morning all on her own unexpectedly. What a shock! She is a fantastic mum and Bloss will always be with her son.
Harry was born with twisted hind legs and had to have remedial farriery from 2 weeks old we have named him Follyfoot Chocolate Velvet as he is our first foal born at the farm. Harry is a character and loves to play with Izzy his little friend and Billy and Milly sheep.
