About us
The sanctuary has been in operation since 2009. We are situated on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent. The sanctuary is for horses and ponies who have been abused, unwanted or simply forgotten. The horses are all treated with kindness, respect and given back the dignity and freedom they deserve.
History
Inspiration for Follyfoot Farm came from the 1970's childrens' TV programme written by Monica Dickens about a retirement home for old and unwanted horses and ponies.
Our Mission
Follyfoot Horse and Pony Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates, and provides a safe haven for mistreated equines, free from the fear of futher abuse. The horses and ponies will spend the rest of their lives here getting their every needs met. Occasionally we may rehome a horse if we find a suitable foster home. The horse always remains the property of the sanctuary and is subject to rigorous checks.
